Director Fund
Job description
We are seeking an experienced Renewable Fund Director to lead the management and strategic growth of our renewable energy investment portfolio. The role combines fund oversight, investment decision-making, stakeholder management, and operational leadership. This is a senior position, reporting to the Managing Director and the Investment Committee.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic direction and growth of the renewable energy fund, ensuring alignment with investor mandates and risk parameters.
Oversee the investment lifecycle, from sourcing and origination through structuring, due diligence, and financial close.
Manage portfolio performance, including monitoring asset-level operations, financials, and value creation initiatives.
Work closely with asset managers and technical teams to optimize performance and mitigate risks across solar, wind, and storage projects.
Lead the preparation of fund valuations, forecasts, and reporting to investors, boards, and regulators.
Represent the fund to investors, advisors, and other stakeholders, articulating strategy, performance, and market outlook.
Mentor and lead a team of investment professionals, promoting best practice in deal execution and portfolio management.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 10–15 years’ experience in renewable energy or infrastructure investment, with proven experience managing funds or large portfolios.
Strong track record across the investment lifecycle, including sourcing, structuring, and executing transactions.
Experience with operational oversight of renewable assets (solar, wind, battery storage) preferred.
Deep understanding of financial modelling, valuation, and capital structuring.
Experience engaging with boards, investors, and regulators.
Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, or similar are desirable.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
