ADP Payroll Administrator

Job description

​The Payroll Administrator is integral to the accurate and timely processing of payroll in a manufacturing setting. This role oversees all payroll and time & attendance activities using the ADP platform, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local laws. The administrator will work closely with HR, finance, and operations to maintain employee data, address payroll discrepancies, and assist with audit requirements. By contributing to efficient and precise payroll operations, this role supports employee morale and organizational compliance, ultimately guaranteeing that team members are paid correctly and on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely using ADP systems

  • Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and compensation changes

  • Reconcile timekeeping data and resolve discrepancies

  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws, tax regulations, and company policies

  • Conduct regular payroll audits and manage leave/paid time off records

  • Serve as primary contact for payroll and timekeeping inquiries

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance on audits and payroll-related projects

  • Continuously improve payroll processes for efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred

  • 5+ years of payroll processing experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency with ADP or similar payroll systems

  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements

  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to collaborate across departments with high reliability and discretion
