Job Title: Wind, Solar & BESS Projects Land Manager
Location: Edinburgh, United Kingdom
The Green Recruitment Company are thrilled to be working alongside a global leading renewable energy producer. Currently present in 28 countries, they are dedicated to growing their UK business and are looking for a Wind, Solar & BESS Projects Land Manager to join their team in Edinburgh.
This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of land acquisition processes in the renewable energy sector, specifically in wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive land acquisition strategy for wind, solar, and BESS projects, aligning with the company's renewable energy goals and expansion plans.
Identify and assess potential sites for renewable energy projects, considering factors such as wind and solar resources, grid connectivity, environmental impact, and land ownership.
Manage and take the lead in negotiations and delivering land rights for renewable energy projects.
Furthermore, oversee land-related activities throughout the project lifecycle
Moreover, take part in competitive tender processes.
Collaborate closely with grid, technical, legal, GIS, and planning teams.
In addition, provide technical support for project managers on land issues and land strategies.
Establish and safeguard key relationships with landowners, agents, and consultants.
Additionally, strong understanding of farming and forestry economics.
Lastly, Collaborate with internal teams, including project development, engineering, legal, and finance, to ensure seamless integration of land-related activities into project timelines.
Your Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Land Management, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience with utility-scale wind, solar or battery storage project development cycles.
Additionally, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, from site identification to land acquisition and project development.
Understanding of land use regulations, permitting processes, and environmental considerations in the renewable energy sector.
Proven ability to negotiate and secure land rights, leases, and agreements with landowners.
Lastly, collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and global team environment.
