Job description

We’re working with a fast-growing renewable energy developer in Ireland that is rapidly expanding its portfolio of wind, solar, and battery storage projects. The company has developed a strong pipeline of over 1 GW across multiple active sites and is focused on greenfield development, driving the country’s transition to clean energy.

They are now seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join their Dublin-based team. You will work in a small, highly collaborative team and play a key role in shaping the planning strategy for new renewable energy projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Review and quality-control planning applications prepared by external consultants.

  • Contribute to site prospecting and planning risk assessments for new development opportunities.

  • Liaise with local authorities, landowners, planning consultants, and internal teams.

  • Stay current with changes in Irish planning regulations relevant to renewable energy.

  • Support the development team across the full project lifecycle, from site acquisition through planning consent.

About You
  • Qualified planner with 3–5 years’ experience, ideally in renewables, infrastructure, or environmental planning.

  • Strong knowledge of the Irish planning system and experience reviewing consultant-delivered work.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ambitious and eager to grow into broader project development and management responsibilities.
