Transaction Manager, Full-time, UK

The Transaction Manager role is based within our UK project development team who focus on the development and delivery of UK / Irish ground mounted solar and battery energy storage systems.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Proactively originate, manage and support the development of large-scale ground-mounted solar PV and BESS projects in the UK;
  • Support joint venture partners in the process of securing land lease agreements or purchases, grid connection and other permitting and licences for construction and operation of the projects;
  • Support joint venture partners in commercialising and optimising large-scale ground mounted solar PV and BESS projects, including supporting the raising of senior debt and procuring power purchase agreements;
  • Liaising with internal teams to procure EPC / O&M / grid agreements;
  • Review relevant project documentation and external contracts as necessary;
  • Develop and evaluate investment proposals regarding projects for consideration by the Board;
  • Liaise with in-country partners, consultants and advisors as required;
  • Monitor development budgets, timelines and programs as required;
  • Report to management regarding project status, feasibility, project risks and budgets
  • Support joint venture partners in exiting projects and investments through third party sales;

 

Your profile:

  • Proven track record in realising large-scale ground-mounted solar PV projects from green field to ready-to-build stage, preferably in UK
  • Experience, network and knowledge of the land, planning and grid network framework in the UK;
  • Three – five years’ of relevant experience in the renewable energy industry;
  • Exposure to raising junior / senior financing
  • Exposure to securing offtake agreements
  • Experience of other energy technologies like wind, storage or gas of advantage
  • Affinity with legal, technical and financial feasibility of projects
  • Master or bachelor degree in a relevant area of expertise
  • Fluent in English in word and writing, mastery of additional languages is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Self-driven and independent work talent, performs well in a team
  • Attentive to detail while overseeing the bigger picture
  • Based in UK and willing to travel around and outside of UK
