Job description

Job title: Sustainable Energy Analyst

Location: Greater Kuala Lumpur (On-site)

TGRC is currently looking for a Sustainable Energy Analyst to join an industry leader in sustainability and investments.

The ideal candidate will conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis across various projects to optimize company growth and business. You will manipulate datasets, create financial models, and succinctly summarize findings for client's usage.

Responsibilities

  • Familiar with renewable energy investment and its financial model

  • Integrated target assessment, financial modelling, risk valuation, due diligence, project financing, and assisted with transaction documents preparing the investment memo and presenting the proposed deal to the senior management; involved and assisted with the project management activities post the deal.

  • Support and coordinate with the BD team on the negotiations, due diligence, and the execution of the acquisitions.

  • Support the investment team on the negotiations, due diligence, and the execution of the project finance transactions.

  • Provide input on critical key assumptions, and operating and financing drivers.

  • Recommend key investment decisions and justify them to senior team members.

  • Coordinate with third parties e.g., external advisers /counterparties.

  • Develop strong relationships within the relevant sector.

  • Plan and prioritize the team's workload; efficiently communicate timelines upwards and downwards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in investment, finance, or other relevant major discipline 4 - 8 years of experience working in a related field.

  • Ideally successful current or experience in M&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or Transaction Service sector as a team member.

  • Familiar with project financing and M&A execution.

  • Relevant renewable energy industry knowledge and experience.

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Fluent in both Malaysian, Chinese, and English.

  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
