Job description

​The Green Recruitment Company are working alongside a renewable energy trading company operating out of eight offices across all time zones to move energy from source to use. Their mission is to drive the green transition while offering sustainable and predictable energy costs for suppliers and off-takers. They have an ambitious and progressive agenda to play a leading role in the green transformation of our energy systems and achieve net-zero carbon targets.

We are looking for an ambitious Structured Trader to join their Capacity Commodity Trading Desk in Denmark.

The Job:

  • Support the build-out of the trading and origination activities on structured commodity deals in continental Europe and UK, including European option on power, gas, and carbon, commodity spread options, long-term cross-border power transportation options, virtual power plants, and swings.

  • Define hedging strategies for the team’s current portfolio.

  • Ensure compliance of the structured trading activities with risk management mandates.

  • Develop new strategies and monitor market opportunities in line with the commercial growth ambitions of the team within the structured products space.

  • Deliver best in class return on risk capital by leveraging your knowledge and experience.

  • Work closely with quants and analytics to continuously improve their models.

  • Support the team in discussions related to complex trading strategies and portfolio optimization.

Your Profile:

  • Experience in valuation and trading of European options and cross-commodity structured products.

  • Experience in hedging of structured commodity products using linear and non-linear hedges.

  • Experience in dynamically trading around a structured products portfolio to extract extrinsic value from the portfolio.

  • Experience in risk analysis and P&L / VaR reconciliation.

  • Track record in delivering stable P&L and best in class return on risk-capital.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical ability

  • Entrepreneurial and team mindset

  • Coding skills is a plus
