​The Green Recruitment Company are working exclusively alongside a world leading utility in their search for a Structured Power Originator. This client, with its 96,000 employees, is committed to accelerating the transition towards a carbon-neutral world, through reduced energy consumption and more environmentally-friendly solutions.


The Role:

  • As a Structured Power Originator your key responsibilities within the team will be:

  • Develop the client business for structured power products (prospecting, building commercial pipeline and closing deals) focusing on:

    • Exotic power products for utility-size flexible assets such as thermal assets (spread options, Tolling agreements, etc.), Pumped Hydro Storages, Electrolysers, Battery Energy Storage Systems,…

    • Illiquid and tailor-made power products.

  • Develop, originate and implement risk management solutions to support the growth of the renewable power portfolio in Northwest Europe.

  • Price structured power products in close collaboration with the power trading team for the desk deal funnel and support other origination teams in structuring and pricing structured power deals for their clients.

  • Contribute to the development/improvement of pricing methodologies and models in close collaboration with trading, risk, market analysts, quant teams and IT,

  •  This is a front office role, working in a dynamic trading floor environment and in close collaboration with trading, quants, risk, legal, and other origination teams.


The Individual:

  • Strong knowledge of the power markets in Europe, structured power products and option pricing.

  • Well connected with various power market players (industrials, utilities, funds, banks, trading houses, etc.).

  • Proficiency in Python or any other programming language is a plus.

  • Result-oriented hands-on approach and strong commercial drive.

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with very diverse, professional profiles (clients, traders, quants, sales, support functions, etc.).

  • Fluent in English, any other European language is a plus.
