Job description
Job Title: Senior Solar Development Manager
Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia (Hybrid)
TGRC is partnering with an international renewable developer to find a Senior Solar Development Manager to join their dynamic team in Sydney, to lead utility scale Solar energy projects from greenfield development, and feasibility, through to approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify potential development sites and manage feasibility analysis and due diligence to identify environmental, network connectivity, and land constraints.
Originate new projects and progress the development of our Client's Solar portfolio through a structured project plan.
Lead the development of several projects in parallel, including land acquisition, site selection, preliminary design and DA processes.
Coordinate development approvals and EPBC and oversee land acquisition for new projects.
Provide regular progress reports against project plans, reporting to project stakeholders and executive management.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal project teams, external stakeholders, and the local community.
Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks.
Your profile:
5+ years in a Development role within the utility-scale renewable energy sector.
Experience managing large-scale Solar projects in Australia from conception through to approvals.
Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management, Finance, or a related field.
Experience managing and developing project teams.
Ability to identify and manage risks associated with renewable energy projects.
Excellent communication, leadership and building strong working relationships.
Ability to manage project timelines, and budgets and work in a fast-paced environment.
