Job description

Job Title: Senior Solar Development Manager

Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia (Hybrid)

TGRC is partnering with an international renewable developer to find a Senior Solar Development Manager to join their dynamic team in Sydney, to lead utility scale Solar energy projects from greenfield development, and feasibility, through to approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential development sites and manage feasibility analysis and due diligence to identify environmental, network connectivity, and land constraints.

  • Originate new projects and progress the development of our Client's Solar portfolio through a structured project plan.

  • Lead the development of several projects in parallel, including land acquisition, site selection, preliminary design and DA processes.

  • Coordinate development approvals and EPBC and oversee land acquisition for new projects.

  • Provide regular progress reports against project plans, reporting to project stakeholders and executive management.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal project teams, external stakeholders, and the local community.

  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks.

Your profile:

  • 5+ years in a Development role within the utility-scale renewable energy sector.

  • Experience managing large-scale Solar projects in Australia from conception through to approvals.

  • Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience managing and developing project teams.

  • Ability to identify and manage risks associated with renewable energy projects.

  • Excellent communication, leadership and building strong working relationships.

  • Ability to manage project timelines, and budgets and work in a fast-paced environment.
