​The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be working with a leading, global provider of renewable transaction infrastructure, who provide an online platform for buyers, sellers, and advisors in the renewable energy PPA market.

The rapidly growing multi-national are determined to accelerate the clean energy transition by providing a seamless, cloud-based marketplace and are now looking to bring in a senior software engineer - who will be make an impact across their platform.

This Individual will be joining the existing world-class engineering team who use modern, cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities include:

·        Designing scalable systems for analysing future & operating renewable energy projects (Wind, Solar & Storage)

·        Compile large, global datasets covering historical and forecasted data

·        Build & maintain effective data pipeline architecture

·        Assemble complex data sets that fulfil functional & non-functional business requirements.

·        Build the infrastructure required for optimal removal, conversion, and loading of data from a variety of sources

·        Identify and execute internal process improvements: automating processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability etc.

·        Collaborate with energy analysts & product management to understand needs

·        Work with other engineering leads to impact the whole platform

·        Implement secure coding practices into the development lifecycle and work with security and operations teams to produce secure code to production

Job Requirements:

·        3+ years’ experience producing code using Python (Required)

·        Fluent in English (Required)

·        Cloud experience (Google preferred)

·        Experience building/optimizing ‘big data’ pipelines & data sets (Ideally Google DataFlow or Apache Beam)

·        Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools (E.g., Airflow)

·        SQL database experience (Ideally Postgres or MySQL)

·        Troubleshooting/root cause analysis experience

·        Experience working with structured & unstructured data

·        Ability to write & support HTTP APIs

·        Experience working in a dynamic environment across in cross-functional teams.

·        Experience with other technologies is a bonus (JavaScript etc.)
