Client
I am currently retained by a Private Equity firm based in the UK who are hiring into their greenfield renewable development team. The firm have over £4bn AUM and have had huge success globally. They are currently looking for a Senior Land Manager / Head of Land (depending on experience) to join their UK office and work across solar, wind, hydro, hydrogen etc.
Purpose of Role
Negotiate the acquisition of land for solar and energy storage projects
Liaise with landowners, land agents and other key stakeholders
Build and manage a network of trusted introducers and contacts
Work closely with our legal advisors to complete Option and Lease agreements
Negotiate and complete way leaves and other ancillary land agreements
Help unblock issues surrounding complex land agreements and negotiations
Help develop land-related strategy and business practices
Facilitate communication and land-related requests between internal teams
Liaise, appoint and review outputs of external consultants
Review key documents such as Reports on Title prior to completion
Qualifications / Skills Sought:
A degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. surveying or land/estate management)
Extensive experience negotiating Heads of Terms, Options and Lease agreements
Solid understanding of commercial activities in relation to property and land law
Familiarity with the requirement funders have in relation to land agreements
Experience in renewable energy and large infrastructure projects
An excellent standard of verbal and written communication skills
Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure and with minimal supervision
Demonstrable project management experience
