Land Manager

Job description

The Green Recruitment Company partnered with a leading IPP in the search for a Land Manager in Italy.

The Land Manager will be in charge of scouting and seeking new potential sites for the development of wind, (agri-)PV, and battery storage projects as well as study the feasibility of potential locations and negotiate land agreements with land owners.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate with land owners.

  • Identify and evaluate suitable sites for wind, (agri-)PV, and battery storage projects.

  • Support technical, environmental, and commercial assessments for selecting project locations.

  • Conduct field visits to verify land conditions, access, and grid proximity.

  • Identify landowners and negotiate land agreements (leases, easements, acquisitions) with support from legal and development teams.

  • Maintain accurate records of land documents and monitor ownership changes.

  • Build strong relationships with landowners, local stakeholders, and public authorities to ensure alignment with planning and permitting processes.

  • Provide regular updates to management and support internal teams throughout project development.

Requirements:
  • Plus 2 years of experience in similar roles negotiating contracts for the acquisition of land for renewable energy projects, or in the management and acquisition of land for real estate projects.

  • Experience negotiating with Land Owners.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Results-oriented, responsible mindset, dynamic and proactive attitude.

  • Ability to work with QGIS, other map viewers, Google Earth, as well as the Italian territorial agency platforms for cadastral searches and procedures

  • Basic communication skills in English.

  • Availability to travel frequently within the assigned areas at the national level.
