Senior Installation Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Installation Manager to oversee domestic renewable energy projects across the UK.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing Solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and EV charging installations. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to exceptional quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate installation teams and subcontractors across multiple UK sites

  • Manage the full lifecycle delivery of Solar PV, battery storage, and EV charger installations

  • Conduct pre-tender site surveys and provide technical input into design and procurement

  • Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations and Health & Safety legislation

  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and final system handover

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting

  • Monitor labour and material costs to protect project profitability

  • Champion quality, safety, and continuous process improvement

Experience Required:
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing installation teams and subcontractors

  • Strong technical expertise in Solar PV, battery storage, and EV charger installations

Qualifications:
  • C&G 2360 Part 1 & 2, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent

  • C&G 2391 (or 2394/2395) and 18th Edition (BS 7671)

  • MCS-accredited Solar PV certification (e.g., C&G 2922, BPEC, or LCL Level 3 in Solar PV and EESS)

  • Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)

  • ECS Gold Card and a full, clean UK driving licence
