​Title: Senior Estimator - Renewable Energy

Location: Texas, United States (On-site)

A large EPC contractor is looking for an experienced Estimator to join their growing Renewables division.

Job Duties

• Reviewing Documents:

  Examine drawings, specifications, and owner documents to determine the scope of work for estimates and other deliverables. Attend pre-bid and project meetings. Draft RFI's and collaborate with A/E Firms to ensure clear document interpretation.

• Estimate Preparation:

  Produce detailed and conceptual estimates, potentially collaborating with self-perform teams to define project scope. Develop bid lists of subcontractors, trade partners, and suppliers, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

• Takeoffs:

  Perform necessary takeoffs for assigned estimates, and coordinate BIM-generated quantification requirements.

• Document Preparation:

  Generate documents tailored to specific deliverables.

• Presentation:

  Participate in presenting project estimates to project Owners and other stakeholders. May lead both internal and external meetings.

• Bidding Process:

  Oversee the entire bidding process, including soliciting bids, communicating with bidders, evaluating proposals, and assessing bids.

• Design Options:

  Develop design options and recommend optimal solutions considering cost, engineering quality

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 4 years experience in estimating or project management within the solar utility-scale industry.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with familiarity with construction project management software and estimating tools.

• Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid, Accubid, MS Project, Primavera, AGTEK, BlueBeam, and InSite Software is advantageous.

• Strong background in estimating and project scheduling.
