Finance Manager - Renewables
Job description
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Manager with experience in renewables or clean energy for a 6-month contract. This hands-on role will oversee UK and European finance operations while acting as a key bridge between UK and US teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage third-party administrators for the UK structure, review monthly accounts, consolidation workings, and advise on local GAAP vs US GAAP differences.
Oversee accounts payable, contract and invoice verification, and recharging of project-related costs.
Review VAT filings, collaborate with tax advisors, and manage ad hoc tax obligations.
Track equity issuances and shareholder loans within the European structure.
Liaise with FP&A on SG&A spend, and support Investment & Asset Management teams on live investments, asset management activity, and M&A transactions.
Ensure jurisdictional compliance, including Companies Registry filings.
Lead statutory audits, including standalone accounts and group consolidation under FRS 102.
Document and maintain key accounting policies and procedures.
Manage accounting and tax-related project workstreams and act as the primary bridge between UK finance and US teams.
Requirements:
Proven finance experience in renewables or clean energy.
Strong organisational, process-oriented, and stakeholder management skills.
Hands-on experience with accounting, tax, audit, and financial reporting.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
