​The Green Recruitment Company are working alongside a renewable energy trading company operating out of eight offices across all time zones to move energy from source to use. Their mission is to drive the green transition while offering sustainable and predictable energy costs for suppliers and off-takers. They have an ambitious and progressive agenda to play a leading role in the green transformation of our energy systems and achieve net-zero carbon targets.

They are looking to strengthen their Quantitative and Capacity Trading team with a new Senior Curve Prop Trader working out of Copenhagen or Aalborg, Denmark.

The Job:

• Proprietary trading in European Energy Markets – maximizing PnL within Risk and Compliance framework – Focus primarily on Power, Gas, EUA and Options

• Developing, testing and executing new trading strategies and improve existing ones

• Participating in portfolio construction, challenge consensus view and monitor exposure

• Actively pursue knowledge to develop the desk trading abilities

• Provide open, honest and constructive feedback on trading performance and recommendations.

Your Profile:

• You are analytical and comfortable holding positions with a macro fundamental based view. From your experience you naturally have an excellent understanding of trading hubs, market participants and financial hedging. You are focused on details and have a result-orientated and enthusiastic mindset.

You will also have:

• Strong business acumen coupled with entrepreneurial flair

• Proven commercial track record in trading

• Previous experience in trading non-linear products

• Work as a team player and on your own – the members of our team depend on each other

• It is preferable that primary focus is the back of the curve and that the person also have general strong knowledge of other financial markets and commodities.
