We are currently representing a leading Net Zero Consultancy in their search for a highly skilled Senior Consultant in Agronomy. This consultancy is dedicated to helping organizations achieve their sustainability goals and transition towards a net-zero future.

As the Senior Consultant in Agronomy, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice and solutions to clients in the agricultural sector. You will work closely with clients to develop and implement strategies that optimize sustainable agricultural practices, reduce emissions, and enhance environmental performance. Your deep knowledge of agronomy, strong analytical skills, and passion for sustainability will contribute to the success of the consultancy's net-zero initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to assess their agricultural practices and identify opportunities for sustainability improvements and emissions reduction.

  • Provide expert guidance on sustainable land management, soil health, crop rotation, precision agriculture, and other agronomic practices.

  • Conduct thorough assessments and analyses of clients' agricultural operations, identifying areas for improvement and recommending strategies to achieve net-zero goals.

  • Develop and implement sustainable agricultural plans, considering factors such as carbon sequestration, biodiversity, water efficiency, and waste management.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to integrate sustainable practices into clients' overall net-zero strategies.

  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in sustainable agronomy.

  • Support the development of carbon offset projects in the agricultural sector, including the calculation and verification of emission reductions.

  • Provide expert advice on regulatory compliance, certifications, and reporting frameworks related to sustainable agriculture.

  • Deliver presentations, workshops, and training sessions to clients, promoting awareness and understanding of sustainable agronomy practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in agronomy consulting or related roles, with a focus on sustainable agriculture.

  • In-depth knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices, land management, soil health, and crop optimization.

  • Familiarity with emissions reduction strategies, carbon sequestration, and the intersection of agriculture and climate change.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct thorough assessments of agricultural systems and provide data-driven recommendations.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, certifications, and reporting frameworks related to sustainable agriculture.

  • Passion for sustainability, net-zero initiatives, and driving positive change in the agricultural sector.
