Senior Business Development Manager

London, UK (Hybrid)

£60,000 - £70,000 (EV + Commission)

My client is on a mission to revolutionize the EV charging landscape in support of global net zero and a faster transition to an all-electric future.

The innovative company design and manufacture scalable off-grid rapid electric vehicle charging solutions for electric vehicle drivers, OEM, and fleet operators.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth through sales of the company’s off-grid and grid-tied electric vehicle charge point and distributed energy solutions and services

  • Compile and oversee the successful execution of sales plans for EMEA - including the development of strategies for targeting specific client groups with imminent pain points and a high degree of purchase intent

  • Actively prospect, nurture, and follow up live leads to differentiate the company’s value proposition from the competition and to secure high-value deal closures that drive profitability and market share growth in line with assigned targets

  • Present the company’s products and value proposition to prospective clients and use consultative business approaches to adequately assess customer’s needs

  • Prepare and facilitate the sign-off of all sales and legal documentation, including NDAs, MOU, and end sales contracts with clients

  • Management of all sales activities within the company’s CRM system

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in senior sales within the EV or distributed energy sector

  • Well-versed in EV charging developments and associated trends globally to serve as a subject matter expert

  • experience across the UK & EMEA (preferred)

  • Experience with CRM tools, e.g., Salesforce or Workbooks

  • Ability to travel into Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for client engagements and exhibitions as required. This could be around 2-3 trips per quarter in year one as a steer on frequency.
