Location: Basque region, Spain (Remote)

Salary:€55,000 - 70,000 + Bonus

The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be working with a revolutionary cleantech start-up who are playing a vital role in the UK & Europe’s energy transition! Through their suite of Smart Grid software solutions, they are enabling utilities and grid operators to monitor, optimise, & control power grids.

Following VC-backing and successfully onboarding an impressive list of international clients, our client is currently searching for a Sales Engineer, who will play an important role in the business’ continued success by bringing commerciality & a technical background within Smart grid / Utility / Power Systems markets to the sales team.

This individual will be joining the growing Spanish team and will have several years’ sales experience in the renewables sphere (ideally within an energy software/smart grid/cleantech business) with an electrical engineering background that they can bring into a commercial/sales environment.

Candidates must be fluent in Spanish & English.

Key responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets by executing the sales strategy within smart grid & utility sectors.

  • Create and build long-term customer relationships by discussing their technical needs and providing effective solutions.

  • Lead technical presentations and demonstrations, showcasing the SaaS suite’s capabilities.

  • Relay user feedback and collaborate with the product team to ensure the SaaS suite exceeds market requirements

  • Engage directly in commercial negotiations & deal closing with clients.

Job Requirements:

  • Electrical engineering, Computer Science, or Energy Engineering background (Degree or similar).

  • >3 years in a sales role within the cleantech / smart grid / utilities sector.

  • Track record of achieving sales targets.

  • Strong communication & negotiating capabilities.

  • English & Spanish fluency.

  • Team & player with an ability to travel internationally for clients & events.
