Job title: Renewables Investment Banking Specialist
Location: New York, United States (Hybrid)
TGRC is partnered with an energy specialist boutique Investment Bank, they are currently looking for a Renewables Investment Banking Specialist.
Our client is seeking an investment banking associate to support their renewable and energy storage investment banking practice, with a broad range of internal and external responsibilities. This is an opportunity to join a long-standing boutique platform working side by side with low-carbon value chains.
A candidate will work on several live transactions simultaneously, learn rapidly, and have a defined growth trajectory. Remuneration commensurate with experience and competitive with elite boutiques and bulge-bracket banks; significant financial upside based on performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work collaboratively as part of a deal team on investment banking transactions in the renewable energy and energy transition space.
Support the creation of marketing materials and build financial models while gaining experience with client and investor interactions.
Support new business development under the mentorship of senior leadership.
The firm wants entrepreneurial candidates comfortable in a dynamic environment. Beyond transaction work, a candidate will participate in building the business and strategy formation, including relevant research initiatives (such as industry mapping) matching your specific interests in climate finance.
The company prefers all members of the team (both junior and senior) to be partners in the business. You will be eligible for equity grants by the end of your first year of employment.
The company pays annual cash bonuses based on a transparent performance-based methodology, and the base salary is comparable to the market. Additionally, candidates will receive annual profit distributions.

QUALIFICATIONS
Strong financial modelling capabilities required
In addition, 1-4 years of renewable project finance banking or investing experience
Renewable energy investment or transactional experience is required; relevant backgrounds could include investment banking, principal investing, or the finance group of a developer / IPP
Entrepreneurial drive and preference to work in a boutique culture with significant client exposure
In addition, demonstrated interest in the renewable energy industry and environmental finance
Furthermore, strong intellectual curiosity and a desire to progress through a career trajectory at a specialist boutique
Lastly, an undergraduate degree
