Job description
Title: Renewable Investment Manager
Location: Tokyo, Japan (On-site)
We are partnering with a leading developer in the renewable energy sector who is actively involved in solar and energy storage projects across the Asia-Pacific region. They are expanding their investment team and are in search of a talented Investment Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Familiar with renewable energy investment and its financial model.
Drive the creation of concise written materials (presentations, IC memos, etc.).
Drive the creation of financial modeling for the assets and the transactions.
Support and coordinate with the Business Development team on the negotiations, due diligence, and the execution of the acquisitions.
Support the investment team on the negotiations, due diligence, and the execution of project finance transactions.
Provide input on critical key assumptions, operating and financing drivers.
Recommend key investment decisions and justify to senior team members.
Provide pragmatic/commercial solutions and risk mitigants to identified issues.
Collaborate with function leaders to help inform strategic planning and investment via a detailed understanding of all key parts of the development business.
Support on the internal and external work plan for the transaction.
Coordinate with third parties, including external advisers and counterparts.
Develop strong relationships within the relevant sector.
Plan and prioritize the workload of the team; communicate timelines efficiently upwards and downwards.
Requirements:
Solid financial modelling and valuation skills.
Expert on PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Graduate from a degree in investment, finance, or other relevant major.
Familiar with project financing and M&A execution.
Relevant energy industry knowledge and experience.
Familiar with transaction due diligence.
Ability to handle a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Fluent in both Japanese and English.
