Job description

​Green recruitment has partnered with a global investment fund who is seeking a skilled Grid Connection Manager with experience in the renewable energy industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the grid connection process for large-scale renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with grid codes, coordinating with relevant stakeholders, and overseeing the commissioning process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the grid connection process for large-scale renewable energy projects, including wind farms and solar parks.

  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, including grid operators, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant grid codes and regulations.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets and monitor progress against milestones.

  • Oversee the commissioning process, including testing and validation of the grid connection.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to grid connection and provide recommendations for solutions.

  • Maintain project documentation and ensure all relevant information is accurately recorded and communicated to stakeholders.

  • Provide regular project updates to senior management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.

  • At least 3 years of experience in the energy industry, with a focus on high-power projects.

  • In-depth knowledge of grid codes and regulations, and experience with grid connection processes.

  • Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage stakeholders and build relationships with external partners.

  • Experience with commissioning and testing of high-voltage equipment is preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
