Job description

TGRC are delighted to have partnered with a global business & leader of the energy transition, developing a portfolio of renewable energy and green hydrogen projects - to produce 15 mpta of Green Hydrogen by 2030.

The large scale, low-cost hydropower, geothermal, solar and wind assets will support establishment of green energy and green product industries around the world.

As part of their scaling, particularly in Norway - they seek a Regional Lead Contracts & Procurement Manager (Green Hydrogen).

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and present project specific contracting and procurement strategies and plans

  • Support and facilitate the integration of centralized global procurement strategies to regional and project specific contracting and procurement plans.

  • Oversee the development, coordination and evaluation of tender packages for prefeasibility, feasibility and execution phases of Projects including studies for engineering, environmental, social, site investigations, construction, and procurement contracts.

  • Support and oversee the negotiation of contract terms and conditions by the Lead / Senior Contracts and Procurement representative, to support project schedule and budget.

  • Ensure the teams procurement activities are in accordance with established Contracts and Procurement policies and procedures and con4nually focus on improving process and procedure where possible.

  • Review of procurement documentation that supports the project requirements developed by the team.

  • Identify and maximise opportunities to achieve regional and project specific development objec4ves (including on cost, schedule and risk metrics).

  • Managing regional contracts, procurement and supply chain resources to support European Project portfolio priorites and identifying required adjustments to staffing levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead European Contracts and Procurement team including responsibility for managing team / unit to deliver objectives and work to agreed timelines.

  • Develop reports, analysis and advice to Executives and Senior Management to support contracts/procurement decision-making.

  • Identify and evaluate key risks and seek input from other functions as appropriate (e.g. engineering/ technical, tax, sustainability, governance and compliance, legal, global procurement etc.)

  • Maintain and update contracts/procurement records and generate reports on Europe activity to meet organizational compliance requirements and provide access to procurement information.

  • Oversee contract administration to support execution, including correspondence and contract notices and claims assessment.

  • Work as part of the team to deliver value through competitive sourcing and effective contract management.

REPORTING

Reports to Global Head of Contracts, Procurement & Supply Chain

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • +15 years’ experience in Contracts within major projects and/or energy industries (renewable energy experience desirable)

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business, law, or construction desirable

  • Excellent drafting, negotiating and communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong commercial acumen

  • Chartership by recognised body desirable (e.g. RICS, CIPS or Legal)
