Job description

​Project Manager - Renewable Energy - Civil Engineering Consultancy

  • Lead the planning, design, and permitting of renewable energy land development and infrastructure projects.

  • Design and supervise site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc., from inception to completion.

  • Cultivate new clients for the firm and maintain relationships with existing clients.

  • Manage multiple projects and tasks within defined budgets, schedules, and deadlines. Monitor budgets, schedules, and project timelines to minimize write-offs and keep projects on budget.

  • Prepare reports and proposals. Write and review draft reports, including feasibility studies, stormwater management reports, technical specifications, and utility reports.

  • Provide expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design, including SWPPP preparation and water quality compliance.

  • Collaborate closely with office leadership to formulate growth plans and ensure staff utilization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred.

  • Valid Professional Engineer license.

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in renewable site/civil land development.

  • Familiarity with city, county, and state land use processes and regulations.

  • Strong abilities in client development, communication, and management, with a knack for generating new work.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing renewable energy land development and infrastructure projects, including designing site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc.

  • Self-motivated individual capable of managing, motivating, mentoring, and leading others.

  • Comfortable working on multi-disciplinary projects.

  • Expertise in stormwater management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design, and SWPPP preparation.

  • Skilled in technical and proposal writing.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D (preferred).
