Role Overview:
The Mechanical/Civil Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all mechanical and civil construction activities on site. This includes structural works, foundations, and mechanical installations. The role ensures that all works are executed in accordance with approved designs, technical specifications, quality standards, and health & safety requirements. Close coordination with other disciplines and stakeholders is essential to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Supervision & Execution
Supervise and coordinate mechanical and civil works
on site, including foundations, structures, and mechanical installations.
Ensure construction activities are carried out in compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
Monitor daily site activities, productivity, and progress against planned milestones.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Enforce compliance with HSE policies, local regulations, and site safety procedures.
Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets project and industry standards.
Identify non-conformities and support corrective and preventive actions.
Coordination & Communication
Coordinate closely with Project Management, Engineering, HSE, and subcontractors.
Support interface management between civil, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines.
Participate in site meetings and provide clear reporting on progress, risks, and constraints.
Team & Subcontractor Management
Supervise subcontractors and site crews, ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.
Provide technical guidance and leadership to on-site teams.
Promote a strong safety culture and high standards of workmanship.
Skills & Experience Required:
Experience
Proven experience supervising mechanical and civil construction works, preferably within EPC, infrastructure, or renewable energy projects.
Strong understanding of civil works (foundations, structures) and mechanical installations.
Competencies
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction documentation.
Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience working in multi-disciplinary and international project environments is an advantage.
