Summary:
A major player in the Australian Solar development market is seeking a Project Director for their Melbourne offices. The company have achieved financial close on various Solar Farms in Australia and are seeking a Project Director to successfully deliver the next phase of projects to market with overall responsibility for project schedule, quality, budget, and health and safety.
Your responsibilities:
· Manage the construction process, guaranteeing project schedule, quality, budget, and health and safety.
· Technical support for grid connection agreements, grid negotiations and grid registration processes
· Liaise regularly ad closely with important stakeholders (AEMO, NSP etc) assisting with Generator registration processes
· Manage the R2 commissioning and hold point testing phases
· Input into development and financial close
· Manage the early works contracts
· Aid the development team with planning and compliance work ahead of financial close
· Provide regular reports on project progress
· Coordination of site visits
Skills, qualifications and experience required from you:
· Electrical Engineering degree preferred
· Experience in the delivery of a utility scale Solar Farm in Australia (experience delivering Wind/ substations highly regarded)
· Understanding of Australian grid connection and registration process
· Technically minded in either electrical or power engineering subjects
· Able to engage and manage relationships with multiple external stakeholders
· Good report writing skills for project update purposes
