​Title: Project Development Manager - Bioenergy

Location: London Area, United Kingdom (On-site)

The Green Recruitment Company have been exclusively engaged by a UK leading developer, owner, operator ofBioenergy Assetsin the UK – to support in their continued growth across the UK.

In addition the existing portfolio, the business has an affluent project pipeline to develop & construct 15 further plants, 6 of which are currently under construction. Each project valuing circa £25m.

The Team comprises of a high pedigree of renewable energy & bioenergy professionals, however in-keeping with their ambitions seek an astute & experienced Development Manager to further support in project growth;

This role will require an in-depth understanding of and experience in:

  • Renewables and/or infrastructure project development.

  • Negotiation and land acquisition

  • Policy and process, at local and national level, across UK (Scotland and England), (landowners, community, case officers, politicians) and consultant (planning, studies, engineering) management

Specific tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Analysis for project development locations

  • Negotiation and relationship management for land acquisition

  • All stakeholders in the planning process, from community to landowners, consultants and case officers

  • Confident in taking projects from zero through to planning approval

  • With development teams such as engineers, consultants, and colleagues across all relevant disciplines

  • Management and reporting

A suitable candidate must:

  • Experienced, out of the box thinker when approaching challenges/problems.

  • Strong track-record in the development of renewable energy projects (Specific, Bioenergy experience highly desirable).

  • Project lifecycle exposure in previous roles

  • Astute when it comes to development challenges

  • Keen interest in renewable energy & sustainability

  • Team player, but able to work autonomously where required

  • Working with an in-office presence & some national travel, as required.
