Summary:
A global renewable energy IPP are seeking a Project Development Manager in Queensland to develop a number of renewable energy projects in the region.
As Project Development Manager, you will be the lead on progressing project developments to construction stage in the QLD region. You will have good experience in dealing with rural landowners, cultural heritage, consultants, planning departments and government, and wider members of the local community
This is a brand-new opportunity to join a truly leading organisation who have a proven track record of delivering wind and solar projects across Australia. This is a home-based role with regular travel to site
Responsibilities
- Manage the Queensland portfolio of renewable energy projects in development stage
- Progress renewable energy sites from early stage development to financial close
- Engage with various stakeholders throughout the project development phase
- Oversee community consultation
- Oversee negotiation with rural landowners
- Engage with and manage external consultants
- Responsibility for EPBC approvals
- Manage budget responsibilities
- Regular travel to site
Skills, qualifications and experience required from you:
- Significant project development experience in the renewable energy space in Australia
- Demonstrated stakeholder management capabilities
- Relevant academic qualification (e.g. engineering, finance, environmental, planning etc)
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
- Knowledge of EPBC statutory approvals
- Eligibility to live and work in Australia
