Project Development Lead - Energy Storage

UK Flexible (Locations of Interest, North West England, North East England, Scotland)

​The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to have partnered with a new, incredibly well financed, Battery Storage Developer, to identify a new, Senior Development Manager/Project Development Lead (BESS), to oversee delivery of its large-scale energy storage assets from planning submission phase through to commercial operation.

The business to date, have secured 2.5GW of Grid Connections, of a targeted 3GW within the United Kingdom for Battery Energy Storage Projects & have secured investment from two exceptional & well-known clean-energy funders, one providing the Project CAPEX & the other, financing the development activity.

Responsibilities

• Landowner negotiation and understanding of relevant contracts for land acquisition, lease and easements

• Planning policy and process, at local and national level

• Stakeholder (landowners, community, case officers, politicians) and consultant (planning, studies, engineering) management

• Large-scale renewables and/or HV infrastructure project development and construction including grid connection construction at TO and DNO level

Specific Tasks & Responsibilities

• Landowner negotiation and land acquisition for wayleaves, easements, grid routes, access etc

• Understanding the process for securing the relevant permissions and consents including liaison with our planning consultants, the relevant planning authorities and consultees, and any other relevant stakeholders to ensure planning consents are secured

• Local community management and onsite meetings with all stakeholders

• Liaison with TO and EPC/ICP to ensure grid connections are possible and supporting the grid connection application process

• Project reporting

• Ensuring project readiness to successfully achieve FID
