Procurement Analyst
Job description
The Role
- The main responsibility will be tendering utility contracts for all utilities including electricity, gas and water and managing the entire procurement process. 
- Watches the markets daily and prepares weekly and monthly reports. 
- Advises clients and manager about market drivers on a daily basis. 
- Provide support to the Procurement Manager on risk strategy, reporting to clients and maintain evidence pack for all purchases and non-purchases. 
- Reviews, updates and audits metering information held in Optima upon validation from suppliers. 
- Has the skills and ability to spot queries when preparing the tender files and update within the relevant systems. 
- Prepares accurate tendering files whilst validating responses and rates. 
- Work with various departments on improving database accuracy and cross sharing of information including wholesale and pass through elements of the invoice to allow other departments to complete their reports. 
- Build a close relationship with suppliers to migrate outstanding accounts. 
- Reviews and improves processes where necessary and adapts to changes in processes. 
- Organises workload effectively and efficiently whilst communicating with managers. 
- Working with the Procurement Manager to maintain relationships with suppliers including reporting on KPI’s. 
The Individual
- You should have 2 years experience in the energy sector 
- Microsoft Excel - intermediate 
- Knowledge of the energy system “Optima” 
- Attention to detail and being able to work under pressure 
- Strong written and verbal communication skills 
- Good mathematical skills and a keen eye for numbers 
- Team player
