Summary:

A well-established international engineering consultancy are currently seeking a Principle Consultant to join their Sydney based team. This is a brand-new senior role for an ambitious professional who is able to provide significant input into the growth of a new team.

 

The Principle Consultant role will provide exposure to a variety of projects for T&D networks, renewable energy and the integration of solar and wind technologies to the grid.

 

You will have extensive power systems consultancy experience and have knowledge of renewable energy projects in the Australian marketplace. You will have a commercial focus and you will have the ability to provide business development expertise as the team grows. You will be an engineer who can provide technical input into our client’s projects

The Role:

You, as the Principle Consultant will have the following responsibilities in the role:

  •  Lead, assist, and advise on a range of power system projects
  • Be an integral element of the company’s business development activities
  • Further develop relationships with current customers and future customers with the senior management team
  • Provide networking expertise at all levels internally and externally
  •  Provide conceptual and feasibility study and design
  •  Provide input into System Studies
  • Commissioning, O&M, Protection and substation design

 

 

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  •  Approximately 10 years’ experience in Power Systems Engineering
  •  Experience in renewable energy projects in the Australian marketplace
  • Detailed understanding of the Theory of Power Systems
  • Master’s Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Proficient in simulation software tools
  • Experience in static and dynamic power system studies
  • Good understanding of Australian T&D grids
  • Experience in team management
  • Experience in business development
  • Ideally Chartered Engineering Status
