​About this role:

We are working with a global strategy consulting powerhouse committed to advancing the journey towards a sustainable society. They are in search of an enthusiastic and dynamic Principal (Electricity Networks) to become a valuable addition to their team in either Melbourne or Sydney. In the role of Principal, the candidate will strengthen the company's market position and achieve growth by building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, and supervising projects.

Responsibilities:

​

Business Development

• Oversee business development within the electricity network industry.

• Develop and maintain client relationship management, identifying opportunities for value creation, promoting, and developing business for the company.

• Manage, supervise, and propose frameworks and methodologies, as well as developing commercial proposals.

Project Delivery

• Lead complex strategic consulting projects for TSOs/DSOs, providing final recommendations, ensuring the quality of project delivery, and assisting clients as needed.

• Supervise the costs, quality, and client satisfaction on projects driven by Managers and Senior Consultants, and report on project performance.

• Liaise with the client to keep them informed of progress and to make relevant decisions.
  

Corporate Strategy/Team Management/Internal Development

• Act as a Line Manager for Managers, Senior Consultants, and Consultants.

• Take responsibility for supporting and up-skilling the Managers, Senior Consultants, and Consultants.

• Contribute to the strategic direction, development of further knowledge/thought leadership, and know-how on the electricity network sector.

• Take on internal responsibilities such as recruitment, staffing management, training, etc.

About the Ideal Candidate:

• The company is seeking a motivated individual with the following qualifications and a willingness to learn:

• Passion for the energy transition and climate change

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the electricity network/energy industry

• Strong strategic consulting and business development expertise

• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint

• Capacity to manage strategic consulting projects in electricity network/energy industry

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in a relevant field.
