​The Green Recruitment are working alongside a client whose mission is to help companies with the production, operation, purchase, sale, transport, import, export and trading of power and gas. Additionally, they can advise in various analytical activities covering aspects such as consumption, cost, position management, consumption forecasts and risk management.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Portfolio Manager. As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for managing the energy supply portfolio, ensuring effective and efficient energy volume and value streams across various contract and product types. You will play a critical role in the strategic product policy for business customers, contributing to a more stable and predictable net margin. You will work closely with the traders and sales teams to optimize the portfolio and meet the needs of customers and the PnL of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Supply Portfolio Management: Analyse and manage supply portfolios for electricity, gas, and renewable certificates at the customer, product, and stream levels.

  • Strategic Development: Support the development of an end-to-end insightful and coherent chain between supply, trade, and business control, focusing on volume and value control.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with other departments on expected volume positions, margin at risk, commodity risk management, and related data-driven topics.

  • Market Monitoring: Proactively monitor relevant market and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and risks for the B2B supply portfolio.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Set up, analyze, and present data-driven insights to key stakeholders, providing quantitative and qualitative analyses and recommendations.

  • Risk Management: Initiate and implement commodity risk vs. reward-related improvement proposals to reduce volume/price risk at the customer, product, and commercial stream levels.

Your Profile:

  • High energy level, positive attitude, and strong execution skills.

  • A self-starter with a problem-solving mindset.

  • At least 6-8 years of experience in an analytical role within the energy sector.

  • In-depth knowledge of energy supply and/or trading.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think conceptually.

  • Market and customer-oriented mindset with a strong interest in energy trading/management.
