Job description
We are seeking a commercially driven Trading Manager with strong knowledge of UK gas and electricity markets. This role requires a blend of market analysis, risk management, and client advisory capability. The successful candidate will monitor wholesale energy markets, assess pricing trends, and advise on optimal timing for purchasing decisions. They will support energy tenders, analyse supplier pricing structures, and contribute to contract and procurement strategies.
A key part of the role involves managing portfolio risk — including hedging positions, monitoring exposure to price fluctuations, and tracking average purchase costs — ensuring clients are protected against market volatility.
The position also requires the ability to translate complex trading and market data into clear, practical insights for clients and senior stakeholders, while working closely with suppliers and consultants.
