Looking for an opportunity to grow with an amazing company? Our partner in green energy is looking for a Piping Stress Engineer for their upcoming project in Lake Mary, Florida.

In this position you will:

Be responsible for stress analysis, pipe support, developing piping system designs to meet code, contract and schedule requirements for power projects in the Americas.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pipe stress analysis per applicable ASME codes and standards

  • Use pipe stress software daily (CAESAR ll and/ or AutoPIPE) is required

  • Review stress results, displacements, and pipe support loads

  • Design and select supports, spring hangers, flexible hose, and expansion joints for piping systems as well as prepare technical datasheets, and purchase specifications

  • Import 3D models into Caesar ll & modify the stress file based on documentation

  • Prepare stress isometric drawings from Caesar ll and to modify drawings by AutoCAD

  • Understanding of ASME B31.1 and B31.3 codes

  • Aid engineers and designers in the resolution of technical engineering and design challenges

  • Strong understanding of piping design philosophy and ability to perform high level piping designs

  • Interpret and provide solutions to technical inquiries from customer, vendors, and field personnel. Integrate design requirements from parent company

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years experience

Desirable but not required:

  • Masters Degree in Engineering

  • PE license

  • Knowledge of Structural FEM package & 3D modeling software

  • SmartPlant knowledge

  • Familiarity with ASME Section II, PCC, MSS-SP, and PFI codes

  • Knowledge of welding processes
