Job description
TGRC is working with one of the leaders in the BESS market in their search for a Paralegal - Renewable Energy Transactions to join their growing Legal team!
As a Paralegal, you will be crucial in supporting legal operations related to our cutting-edge energy storage projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in legal research, contract management, and regulatory compliance, focusing on the energy sector.
Responsibilities
Manage checklists for renewable transactions
Able to properly document all stages of closings
File corporate documents with multiple state offices
Draft, review, and manage contracts related to BESS projects, including but not limited to supply agreements, construction contracts, and service agreements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contract terms align with company policies and legal requirements.
Drafting board consents for not only organizational but transactional closing matters as well
Coordinate and prepare documents for UCC filings
Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the BESS industry.
Assist in ensuring company compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing energy storage projects.
Maintain NDA agreement
Drafting certificates
Work closely with internal teams, external legal counsel, and regulatory bodies to facilitate effective communication and cooperation.
Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for legal updates and project status.
Lastly, provide support in legal proceedings related to BESS projects, including document review, case analysis, and coordination with external legal teams.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of full-time experience in corporate law transactions, with a focus on corporate finance and M&A.
In addition, a Paralegal certification from an accredited institution is preferred.
Additionally, renewable Energy Experience Required.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365, with experience using Microsoft Teams and Box.
Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in legal documents and processes.
Strong understanding of contract law, regulatory compliance, and legal processes.
Furthermore, excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in legal research tools and document management systems.
Lastly, excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
