This business are a Joint Venture between a leading, energy trader & global investment firm, with a $108 billion in funds under management.

With their already impressive presence in the green energy space, they seek an Operations Lead to oversee the delivery of Belgium’s largest Li-on BESS project, on behalf of Belgium’s largest energy consumer – in their energy transition & decarbonization mission! This really will be a flagship project for the region!

Responsibilities

• Empowering a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspect of energy storage center activities

• Leading and managing a team of high-performing individual contributors

• Managing and overseeing storage center site services, logistics, and deployment

• Support commissioning activities and review of as-builts/close out documentation

• Oversee O&M and Service and Availability Agreements. This will include analyzing production operations and initiate corrective actions to ensure operational stability and analyze projects

• Key performance indicators and continuously review operating metrics to identify and scope optimisation opportunities

• Manage activities as required under the revenue support agreements

• Manage contractors and equipment warranties

• Review and opine on site repairs, incident events and any other site activity

• Collaborating and coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholder groups to ensure the successful delivery of service levels

• Initiate and establish quality standards for the storage center teams and manage those initiatives through to completion

• Gather and implement a “lessons learned” system

• Travel as needed – at least weekly- between site locations.

Requirements;

• Demonstrable experience managing physical operations across energy, industrial or critical environmental infrastructure.

• Prior experience motivating a diverse, technical team

• Professional Fluency in English & Flemish

• Experience working in Battery Energy Storage or wider renewables, highly advantageous
