​Operations Engineer

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid or Remote)

TGRC is working with an energy infrastructure company focused on the development, construction, and operation of energy storage assets in wholesale electricity markets. The company currently has approximately 700 megawatt-hours in operation and is developing approximately 12 GW of projects by 2026. The company is backed by BlackRock’s Diversified Infrastructure business, one of the world’s leading providers of investment, advisory and risk management solutions. Due to their backing and their strategic and established portfolio of utility-scale energy storage projects the company has a leading pipeline of over 11,000 MW in active development. As the Operations Engineer you will be responsible for managing several Battery Energy Storage plants in Texas and other areas as assigned by the Director of Operations.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or relevant technical discipline, 2-5 years of direct experience

• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather as needed.

• 5-year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education.

• Experience with BESS maintenance, including DC systems, AC medium voltage systems, and network communications and monitoring.

• Experience with the operation of various SCADA systems

• Skilled in the use of testing equipment and tools such as Thermographic Electrical Inspection, I-V Curve Tracing, Meggers, and Ground Fault Detection
