OEM Account Manager Mandarin Speaker

Location: Africa (Remote)

Our client is a climate tech start-up transforming the clean energy transition in emerging markets. We are the only end-to-end investment and asset management platform for distributed energy, offering project developers and investors a business-in-a-box solution to finance, build and operate distributed energy projects at scale across the globe.

Requirements:

  • Business proficiency in Mandarin

  • Client ownership and client success mindset

  • Demonstrated success in institutional relationship management in similar contexts.

  • Organised and methodical with ability to self-manage priorities and account management routines e.g., scheduled check-ins, reporting, analysis.

  • Knowledge of solar market and familiarity with OEMs and equipment types

  • Based in Africa

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in Excel, Word and working on technology platforms.

Duties and responsibilities:

OEM Representation:

  • Help identify, pitch to and onboard a new OEM on the company platform, explaining to them all the features and benefits of the platform.

  • OEM representation: ability to internalize a sales pitch on behalf of the OEM from a technical perspective and compile, distribute and articulate the unique selling points (UPS) of an OEM to the company’s wider renewable energy company (REC) network.

  • Understand the commercial relevance of each OEM partner at an industry level and country-specific level. Understand the importance of positioning OEMs in the company’s portfolio as complementary and an industry enabler.

OEM Account Management:

  • Position yourself strategically as a trusted partner of the OEMs and offer pipeline insights, market knowledge.

  • Maintain excellent communication channels with the OEM clients and establish best practice routines for account management.

  • Stay and keep the company updated on OEM’s business, new products, projects, and priorities.

Operations and Reporting

  • Meticulous organisational skills related to workflows, CRM, technical and resource libraries.

  • Perform all related support tasks as required to OEMs and particularly the company’s sales team

  • Regularly support with weekly reports on the status of various workflows related to all aspects of the procurement business, in which OEM engagement and strong relationship remains critical.
