​I am thrilled to be working on a role with a rapidly expanding developer that specializes in utility-scale renewable projects. They were recently acquired by one of the most prominent companies in the world. This acquisition provides the firm significant financial backing and an excellent opportunity to grow on a global basis. The company also has more than 136 projects and 19 GW in development or under contract.

This role will report to the SVP of Accounting and Corporate Finance.

The Role:

• Direct and oversee the preparation and distribution of all financial statements for internal and external use

• Ensure that all reporting and documentation complies with the policies, procedures, and standards of the company and its affiliates

• Lead and actively participate in the annual financial audit, including workpaper and supplementary material preparation

• Serve as firm's internal auditor by identifying errors, inconsistencies, or deficiencies, proposing corrective actions, and, formulating and implementing additional procedures to mitigate future issues

• Advise management of trends and changes in reporting requirements, and recommend best approach for any changes in reporting

• Establish themselves as company's in-house US GAAP expert by staying current on all recent accounting pronouncements and collaborating with staff to implement new policies and procedures as necessary

• Write, implement, and ensure effective and practical adoption of policies

• Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting

• Develop financial models and prepare forecasts

• Perform other duties as necessary

The Individual:

• 5+ years’ audit experience (Big 4 highly preferred)

• 5+ years’ experience leading audit engagements

• 5+ years’ experience preparing financial statements

• Previous experience or engagements in the renewable energy or construction industries

• Experience in both the public and private sectors

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting (CPA highly preferred)

• Extensive US GAAP knowledge (IFRS is a plus)

• Advanced Excel skills
