Job description

Our client is a leading global developer, with over 5 GW of new projects in development across 7 key markets worldwide. They focus on the generation of clean energy, by means of development and construction of Solar (PV), Energy Storage (ES) and H2 plants. Our client is looking for a Land Acquisition Manager to join their growing Italian team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for site/land acquisition and management of 3rd party brokers/agents as needed to support the Company's siting and project development goals in Italy, with a focus on Utility scale solar and standalone battery storage projects

  • Leads and negotiates complex land and site acquisition (lease and purchase) agreements. Assists in formulating and implementing department strategy for targeting, negotiating and acquiring key sites and land

  • Works with other internal stakeholders, such as engineering and project development, to screen and evaluate land for its suitability for development into solar and or battery storage projects

  • Develops and fosters relationships with land owners as well as key community stakeholders that enable a collaborative environment for site control negotiations, and repeat transactions

Required experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

  • 3 plus years of experience in large project transactions in the renewable sector

  • Must have solid experience with land title issues, land mineral rights, and the project development permitting process as it relates to real estate acquisition strategies

  • Proven track record in negotiating land acquisition agreements, leases, easements, mineral rights agreements and other real estate agreements

  • Experience with legal contracts and contractual negotiation

  • Advanced level of English and fluent Italian
