Job description

​As an Investment Manager specializing in the renewable energy sector, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end investment process, from sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities to executing deals and overseeing portfolio performance.

The Role:

  • Identify and assess potential investment opportunities in the renewable energy space, including solar, wind, hydro, and other emerging technologies

  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective projects, analysing financial models, market trends, and regulatory environments

  • Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of investment transactions, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and risk-return profile

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, technical, and environmental experts, to drive successful deal closures

  • Monitor and manage the performance of the renewable energy investment portfolio, identifying opportunities for optimization and risk mitigation

  • Implement strategies to enhance the financial and operational performance of existing assets.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting the renewable energy sector

  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for the development of investment strategies

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including project developers, financial institutions, government agencies, and industry partners

  • Represent the company in relevant industry forums and conferences

The Individual:

  • Master's degree in finance, business, or a related field; CFA is a plus

  • + 5 years of experience in renewable energy investment management or related fields in leading investment banking, PE or consultancies

  • Strong financial modelling, analytical, and negotiation skills

  • Business Proficient in German & English, further language skills are a plus
