Investment Banking Analyst

​Our client is a leading specialist advisory firm focused on the global energy transition. The firm advises developers, utilities, infrastructure funds, and corporate clients on a range of strategic and financial transactions across renewable energy, energy infrastructure and emerging energy technologies. The business provides independent advice across mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, project financing and strategic advisory mandates across Europe and internationally. Due to continued growth and strong deal flow, the firm is looking to hire an Investment Banking Analyst to join its London-based advisory team.

The Role

The Analyst will play a key role in supporting the execution of transactions and the preparation of marketing and client materials. You will work closely with senior bankers and clients across a variety of energy transition sectors, including renewable generation, battery storage, energy infrastructure, hydrogen and emerging technologies.

This is a highly analytical role offering exposure to live transactions and direct involvement in complex M&A and financing mandates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models, including valuation analysis, transaction structures and investment cases

  • Support the execution of M&A and capital raising transactions across the energy and infrastructure sectors

  • Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, investment memoranda and marketing documentation

  • Conduct industry, market and company research to support transaction processes and strategic advisory work

  • Assist in coordinating due diligence processes and managing data rooms

  • Support senior team members in transaction negotiations and deal execution

  • Analyse financial statements, project economics and investment opportunities

  • Work closely with clients, investors and external advisors throughout transaction processes

Candidate Profile
  • 1–3 years’ experience within investment banking, M&A advisory, infrastructure advisory or transaction services

  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills

  • Experience in analysing infrastructure, energy or renewables assets is highly desirable

  • Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills

  • Strong academic background from a leading university

  • Highly motivated with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced deal environment

Language Requirement

Candidates must be fluent in English and have professional proficiency in one of the following languages:

  • German

  • Dutch

  • A Nordic language (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish or Finnish)
