Job description

​As an Investment Associate with a focus on renewable energy and energy transition, you will play a crucial role in the execution of investment strategies, financial analysis, and advisory services. This position is based in Stockholm, Sweden, and requires a candidate with 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking or M&A advisory.

The Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough financial analysis, including valuation modelling, financial statement analysis, and scenario planning for potential investments and transactions.

  • Lead or assist in due diligence processes, ensuring comprehensive assessments of target companies, including financial, operational, and strategic aspects.

  • Create and communicate high-quality presentations for clients and internal meetings

  • Coach and develop junior colleagues

  • Interact with the client’s senior management/board, key shareholders, legal and technical advisors etc.

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities and assess potential risks and returns.

  • Lastly, Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, risk management, and other departments, to ensure seamless deal execution and compliance with regulations.

Skills needed:

  • 2-4 years experience in investment banking, or other forms of M&A advisory, ideally with exposure and/or strong interest in renewable energy and energy transition

  • Strong financial modelling skills and an understanding of project and corporate finance

  • Strong understanding of financial markets, valuation methodologies, and deal structuring.

  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.

  • Lastly, a strong interest in the renewable energy sector and energy transition.
