Head of Supply Chain Management
Job description
A leading international EPC organization is seeking a Head of SCM to lead the supply chain function across large-scale Power Transmission projects, managing a procurement portfolio of approximately USD 3 Billion.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end procurement activities across Power T&D projects
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
Manage full procurement lifecycle (RFQ, evaluation, negotiation, contract award and finalization)
Ensure timely sourcing of major materials including towers, conductors, transformers, GIS/AIS, cables, insulators, and EPC packages
Drive cost optimization initiatives and value engineering
Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with key vendors and OEMs
Identify and onboard new strategic suppliers
Lead commercial negotiations for high-value contracts
Mitigate supply chain risks and support seamless project execution
Collaborate closely with project, engineering, planning, and finance teams
Lead, mentor, and develop the SCM team
Experience Required:
20+ years of overall Supply Chain/Procurement experience
Minimum 10+ years within Power Transmission & Distribution
Proven track record in large EPC infrastructure projects
Strong vendor network (Middle East experience preferred)
Experience managing large-scale procurement portfolios
