Job description
TGRC is excited to have partnered with one of the largest Independent Power Producers (IPPs) headquartered in Europe, in search of a Head of Investment for their rapidly expanding renewables team.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the investment strategy for the renewable energy portfolio in Singapore and the broader region.
Identify key market trends, regulatory developments, and investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
Collaborate with senior management to define investment priorities, allocate capital, and set strategic objectives for renewable energy investments.
Lead the identification, evaluation, and origination of renewable energy investment opportunities, including greenfield developments, acquisitions, and partnerships.
Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investment targets, assessing financial viability, technical feasibility, and environmental impact.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to structure and negotiate investment transactions, including equity investments, project financing, and joint ventures.
Oversee the ongoing management and optimization of my client’s renewable energy investment portfolio, including asset performance monitoring, risk management, and value enhancement initiatives.
Identify opportunities to optimize portfolio returns through strategic asset rotation, refinancing, and portfolio diversification strategies.
Collaborate with project development, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment of investment objectives with operational and financial performance goals.
Expectations:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred.
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in renewable energy investments, project finance, private equity, or investment banking, with a proven track record of successfully executing renewable energy transactions.
Deep understanding of the renewable energy industry, including solar, wind, hydro, and other sustainable energy technologies, as well as regulatory frameworks and market dynamics.
Strong financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence skills, with the ability to analyse complex investment opportunities and assess risk-return profiles.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
