Job description

The Green Recruitment company has partnered with a rapidly expanding London base, green hydrogen and battery storage developer. Due to the recent growth in renewable and their pipeline they are looking for a Head of Hydrogen and EV to work alongside the senior management team to build, deliver and execute it’s Hydrogen and EV strategy across the UK and Europe, with the primary focus being hydrogen firstly with EV also playing a key role in the strategy.

  • Primary ‘Head of’ lead on Hydrogen strategy and business development activities, working with the senior management team to develop both a coherent and commercial strategic business model for development of large-scale Hydrogen infrastructure projects across the UK.

  • Produce extensive research and methodology into the UK’s current and future Hydrogen and EV development, investment, and political landscape, exploring trends, opportunities, and barriers to entry (where identified).

  • Working across the businesses existing team, skillsets and current technologies to both ascertain and construct strategy for Hydrogen along with EV so that it enhances both present and future development opportunities.

  • Working solely or with third parties, provide both commercial and financial models for development, investment and exit across Hydrogen and EV strategy that include risk mitigation strategies for early stage, ready to build and owner and operator models.

  • Be the lead for all initial Business Development activities across both Hydrogen and EV opportunities that include B2C, B2B, corporate PPA’s, manufacturer and investor engagement and partnerships.

  • Develop and present recruitment and investment strategy that will allow for efficient and effective development and execution of Greenfield’s Hydrogen and EV strategy.

  • Through each growth phase, effectively and strategically oversee Hydrogen and EV division, playing a central leadership role in recruitment, investment, development, stakeholder engagement and delivery.

Skills

  • Extensive experience and knowledge of all forms of Hydrogen technology alongside sound knowledge of the EV sector across both the UK and Europe from a technical, financial, strategic, political and development landscape.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of all forms of Hydrogen fuel, market segmentation, key sectors and opportunities across the UK and Europe.

  • Demonstratable experience in the development and delivery lifecycle of large-scale Hydrogen projects across the various fuel and market types, including off taker and private PPA markets.

  • Sufficient understanding and experience of financial modelling and investor jurisdictions across the current Hydrogen landscape for both UK and Europe.

  • Demonstrable experience in developing, structuring and building new concepts and/or business ideas from concept through to execution that can be applied to Greenfield’s Hydrogen and EV market opportunities.

  • Experience and track record in both business development and third-party engagement across key renewable technologies, from sales through to investor engagement and delivery.

  • Track record and demonstrable experience in managing, supporting and where possible, building effective and successful teams
