Job title: Head of Asset Management - Renewables

Location: Rome, Latium, Italy (On-site)

TGRC is looking for an experienced and ambitious Head of Asset Management to work within the renewables sector in Rome, Italy.

The Head of Asset Management will be supporting the Site Team Responsible for supporting site quality monitoring and the definition of activities to manage contractors and information on downtimes, stock, legal compliance, HSEQ and ESG requirements at the site level.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring QHS&E standards are met at all times.

  • Managing a team of operational service managers.

  • Negotiating O&M, PPA, spare parts supply, and insurance contracts.

  • Managing key commercial relationships with renewable energy service suppliers.

  • Monitoring contract settlements and implementing tools for independent verification to ensure accurate invoices and timely payments.

  • Scheduling services orders, materials and spare parts necessary for the execution of operation and maintenance activities, including the supplies of critical stock.

  • Investigating new opportunities for turbine maintenance strategies.

  • Defining a spare parts management strategy and supporting its implementation.

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure that accurate information is shared on a timely basis with construction, HSEQ, legal, tax, accounting, and finance departments.

  • Defining or renewing ESG policy.

  • Defining KPIs and supporting the technical and commercial team in terms of reporting.

  • Supporting the AM team to supervise fleet performance and service- and maintenance data regarding KPIs and technical challenges and as such identifying areas of improvement.

  • Supporting the development of a platform of analytical and management tools to optimize the renewable energy portfolio.

  • Supporting the team for continuous professional growth inside the company.

  • Reviewing quality checks and approving work undertaken by colleagues.

  • Continuously optimising the operational data system as part of the company's documentation system.

  • Defining and overseeing the OPEX budget for the O&M activities.

  • Tracking asset P&L and providing input for asset reporting to management and different types of stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in electrical, mechanical or energetic engineering

  • Languages: Italian and fluent English. Additional languages (i.e. Spanish or German) are a plus.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in wind asset management positions or leading positions in wind turbines OEM service departments. Experience in wind farm construction is a plus.

  • Risk management skills.

  • Negotiation skills.

  • Proven track record, industry reputation, and network.

  • In-depth understanding of wind turbine technology and operational characteristics.

  • High Voltage and medium voltage quality inspections.

  • Knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of SQL, Python and Power BI knowledge is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Condition Monitoring Systems for wind power plants.

  • Complete GWO training

  • Comfortable to build and maintain relationships with authorities.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to negotiate a strong commercial and technical position for the company with relevant stakeholders.

  • Mature communication skills and team spirit. Ability to motivate and coordinate the team you work with.

  • Reviewing and reassessing priorities in response to challenging situations and deadlines.

  • Driven, pragmatic and solution-oriented.

  • Ability to be self-motivated.
