Grid Connection Specialist

Location: North Devon

Contract Type: 6-month contract

Day Rate: £450

The Green Recruitment Company is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Grid Connection Specialist to join a forward-thinking team dedicated to a Utility Scale Solar PV & Energy Storage Project. This role is based in the scenic region of North Devon and offers a rewarding contract for an ambitious professional keen to make an impact in the renewable energy sector.

About the Role:

As a Grid Connection Specialist, you will be instrumental in overseeing and managing the grid connection process for a significant Solar PV & Energy Storage project. Your expertise will ensure that all technical aspects of grid connection comply with national standards and project specifications. This position requires a proactive individual who can collaborate with engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of the project with the national grid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and evaluate grid connection schemes to ensure technical and regulatory compliance.

  • Liaise with utility companies and regulatory bodies to negotiate and secure grid connections.

  • Monitor progress and provide solutions to any potential connection issues.

  • Coordinate with project engineers to integrate grid connection solutions with overall project design.

  • Prepare and present detailed reports on grid connection status and progress.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Grid Connection Specialist or similar role in the renewable energy sector.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles related to solar energy and storage systems.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Relevant engineering degree or professional qualification.
