Grid Connection Specialist

Location: South Yorkshire

Contract Type: 6-month contract

Day Rate: £450

The Green Recruitment Company is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Grid Connection Specialist to play a key role in a significant Utility Scale Solar PV & Energy Storage Project. Located in the industrious region of South Yorkshire, this six-month contract position is designed for a professional who is eager to make a substantial impact in the renewable energy sector.

About the Role:

As the Grid Connection Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of grid connection for our extensive solar and energy storage project. Your expertise will ensure that the project adheres to all technical and regulatory requirements for grid connectivity. This pivotal role requires a proactive and skilled professional capable of managing complex interactions with utility providers, engineers, and regulatory agencies to achieve successful integration with the grid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee the implementation of grid connection solutions that meet project specifications and compliance standards.

  • Coordinate negotiations with energy suppliers and regulatory authorities to secure necessary grid connections.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve grid connection issues to maintain project timelines and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to align grid connection strategies with overall project objectives.

  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing the grid connection processes, advancements, and obstacles.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a Grid Connection Specialist, particularly within the renewable energy field.

  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles applicable to solar and energy storage systems.

  • Superior negotiation and communication skills, capable of fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

  • Independent and team-oriented working capabilities in a fast-paced project setting.

  • Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a closely related discipline.
